Welcome to Caring Circles

We’ve all heard it and we’ve all said it: “Let me know if there’s anything I can do.” And it rarely goes any further. A Caring Circle elegantly organizes and coordinates the needs of an individual or family in crisis to match the goodwill resources of the community around them for free.

how a caring circle works

A Caring Circle is a favor management platform that allows an individual or family in need (and/or a coordinator they nominate) to precisely and efficiently coordinate support from their community to accelerate their departure from the crisis.

5 Steps to Create a Caring Circle

1) Initiate a new Caring Circle for yourself or for someone else.

2) Populate the Circle with individual favor requests in a range of categories along with related details.

3) Share the link with your community to invite people to join the Circle as potential donors.

4) Donors are able to scan, sort and filter all favors to claim those they would like to help with, and then make plans to follow through.

5) The circle can be modified at any time to adapt to the changing needs of the situation, and eventually closed when the crisis has eased.

The Challenge

People in crisis are often resource poor, but rich in offerings of community goodwill and support. The crisis consumes one's time, money, capabilities and/or capacity. Meanwhile, the community at large has these resources available and the desire to help, but no practical way to do so. This can lead to people feeling alone and overwhelmed as the crisis is unnecessarily drawn out, while the community is frustrated at their inability to do more.

Common use cases for Caring Circles

Whether due to an unexpected accident or illness or a scheduled procedure, Caring Circles can help with a host of needs arising from medical situations.

Medical Emergencies

With that happy little bundle (or bundles!)  of joy comes a lot of challenging transitions. Use a Caring Circle to help mobilize all those well-wishers to support you with the other stuff, so you can focus on what’s most important.

New Baby

Sometimes caring for someone can force you to neglect your own care. Caring Circles can help delegate caregiver tasks and provide support for the caregiver too.

Care Giver

Loss, especially when unexpected, can be overwhelming. A Caring Circle can help manage the well-intended support, so that it delicately meets your needs as you navigate new challenges and grief.

Loss of a loved one

Having a good support system during a big move can make a potentially stressful challenge fun. Use a Caring Circle to help coordinate your next move.

Moving

Losing a job can put families in a very difficult situation. A Caring Circle can empower the community to support you in practical ways while you conserve funds and focus on regaining employment.
